Vpype Goes Social In London

Social Media World Forum, London

Two weeks ago, Vpype team went to Europe to entice Facebook users there to look at and use our Vpype Live Broadcaster application, and to start a dialog about social video. At London’s Social Media World Forum Europe, we announced Vpype Live Broadcaster so that Facebook users can create and share live, interactive video content through our easy-to-use broadcast application.

We also had our first London Meetup with a group dedicated to exploring the future of social video. We used our Meetup to promote social video as a way to communicate authentic, real-time conversations within a trusted community.

Our London Meetup was held during the Social Media World Forum. We had attendees who were investment analysts, television producers, technologists, social media mavens, content creators and digital junkies. We talked, demoed and shared the best about social video and its most valuable aspect: authenticity.

About 2000 people attended the Social Media World Forum. We took away great ideas about how social media is connecting business and how they are using social media to promote their brands. I was on a panel addressing how to use social media applications to reach new audiences. Vpype was indeed a good fit for this discussion. Vpype CMO, Arnold Waldstein, also presented at the Forum. His presentation can be viewed on YouTube. We were there with representatives from leading companies and brands like Facebook, LinkedIn, Virgin Atlantic, Mercedes, Ikea, Lufthansa, Sega Games, Mattel and Mars and participated in dialogs on social networking, social media and social video.

At the Social Media World Forum in London, we introduced Vpype Live Broadcaster for Facebook and for Fan pages. Not only is Vpype for individual broadcasters, but it also works for businesses and brands and individuals with Facebook Fan pages. Now anyone or any business/brand with a Facebook Fan page can use Vpype to offer a more dynamic and personal experience, improving and revitalizing interaction with their fans and followers. This is the next step in ‘social video’ on Facebook and a move away from the static process of posting comments on pre-recorded video.

To use this Vpype option, you need to be a Facebook user and you or your Facebook Fan page administrator just needs to add Vpype Broadcaster to your Fan page. Right now, we believe that Vpype is the only native Facebook application that allows live, interactive video broadcasting on a Facebook Fan page without having to sign a custom development agreement with Vpype. For an example, please see Mari Smith – a social media consultant’s Fan page on Facebook.

I certainly hope that you try Vpype soon and use it for your individual and Facebook Fan page video broadcasts.
